Pixel 11 Models Will Start With 256GB Storage, Report Says

The Google Pixel 11 models could cost more than the Pixel 10 lineup, but they’ll start with 256GB of base storage—a big jump from the 128GB on the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro. The Pixel 10 Pro XL already starts at 256GB, but the new models are expected to be priced higher.
According to Roland Quandt, a writer for German tech site WinFuture, the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL will all begin at 256GB. That’s a noticeable upgrade from the 128GB base model, though the Pixel 10 Pro XL already offers that capacity.
We’ll know for sure on Aug. 12 at the Made by Google event, when the company officially announces the Pixel 11 lineup. Preorders should start the same day.
A Google representative didn’t respond to a request for comment.
International Price Differences
Google’s vice president of devices confirmed higher prices for US consumers earlier this month. But Quandt said UK shoppers might avoid the higher Pixel 11 prices.
The Pixel 11 will start at £879 ($1,169) with 256GB storage—slightly less than the £899 ($1,195) Pixel 10 with the same storage. The Pixel 11 Pro drops to £1,079 ($1,434) from its £1,099 ($1,461) starting price. The Pixel 11 Pro XL is expected to cost £1,279 ($1,700), up from the Pixel 10 Pro XL’s £1,199 ($1,594).
US buyers may not get the same savings, but the extra storage could help them handle the $100+ price hike.
Storage and App Challenges
Since the first Pixel launched in 2016, many buyers have complained about the 128GB base storage. Preinstalled apps can use up to 30GB, and popular games, social media, and photos/videos quickly consume more space—leaving little room for downloads or offline media.
For budget-focused Pixel shoppers, the move to 256GB means no more affordable 128GB options. Those wanting the latest devices will likely pay a premium for the larger storage.
Currently, you can pay $799 plus tax for a Pixel 10 with 128GB, or $899 for the 256GB model. That flexibility may not be available with the Pixel 11 lineup.
Battery Rumors
Quandt shared rumored battery specs:

- Pixel 11 Pro: 4,850 mAh
- Pixel 11 Pro XL: 5,115 mAh
The Pixel 11 and Pro XL are expected to have bigger batteries than their predecessors, while the Pixel 11 Pro is slightly smaller.
What We Know About the Pixel 11
According to CNET, display sizes are nearly the same as the Pixel 10 lineup, but the big change seems to be the “Pixel Glow”—a ring of LED lights around the cameras. These LEDs are reportedly meant to act as a notification system, showing different patterns for things like messages, food deliveries, or incoming calls.
Color options for the base model are said to include light sterling (gray), midnight haze (black), fuchsia (pink), and moss (green). Other models may have light fog (white), dune (pink), pine (green), and variations like canyon (orange) and obsidian.
But these colors haven’t been confirmed—they could change before the official announcement. Another leak mentions frost (icy white), pistachio (yellowish green), hibiscus (red), and obsidian for the base model, plus canyon and obsidian for the 11 Pro and Pro XL, and olive and obsidian for the 11 Pro Fold.
